God Speed My Friends

Let's be real. Most of us have at some point lived like we're parked. We wait for the light to change, for someone to give us permission, for life to stop being hard before we actually start moving. This tee is a call out to that version of yourself. A quiet one. The kind you wear on your chest and feel in your gut.

"Speed with direction. Motion with faith. That's not hype, that's a way of life."

The God Speed Tee pulls from motorsport culture, iconography built to communicate one thing: this machine moves. But we flipped the meaning. Because the fastest people we know aren't chasing trophies. They're chasing purpose. And that's a huge difference.

Here's the difference: the trophies are a byproduct of living for God. The victories are proof of following Christ and putting in the work. Hard work is good, but who we do it for and why can be miles apart. Let me be clear: we work hard to give God the glory through the victories His grace enables us to achieve.

The other option? You chase victories for self, and self alone. And that will only leave you empty, hopping from one winners' podium to the next, without the deepest sense of meaning: God-given purpose.

"Run in such a way as to get the prize." 1 Corinthians 9:24

When Paul writes "run in such a way," he uses a form of the Greek trechete (τρέχετε), meaning to exert intense effort and run to win. This literally means to live, work, train, and think in such a manner that you seize, grasp, and overtake the prize.

Let me be clear again: we will all need to exert intense effort, training, learning, and preparing to win any prize, any victory, any version of success worth having.

But here is the awesome part. The prize we run hard after? It is an eternal life that starts now.

The prize is threefold

  1. Bringing God the glory through our actions and thoughts.

  2. Eternal life — which knowing the Father and the Son, starting today. - John 17:3

  3. The ultimate prize: being welcomed into Heaven's gates as a son or daughter of the Most High God.

So yeah, we reworked 1 Corinthians 9:24 with a nod to car culture. But here's the thing: it's good to run. It's good to drive in such a way that you reach your destination. Just do it with God and for God, and watch your sense of purpose fill you to the point that the prizes you attain have their right place in your heart.

They won't define you. They won't own you.

You will become: Fast, Focused, Fearless, and Faith fueled. #SHUTUPHANGON
